How Amerikas Most Wanted started

It started with a single jacket and an obsession that got out of hand. What began as personal collecting turned into sourcing for mates, then full time reselling across Depop, Grailed, eBay and Marketplace.

After years of paying platform fees, fighting algorithms and watching good pieces get lost in bad photos, we built this shop. It's the same curation, same sourcing, same authentication — just without the middle man. Buy direct, know exactly what you're getting, and support a small Melbourne operation.

What we sell

We specialise in two corners of heritage menswear and womenswear that rarely get the love they deserve in Australia:

American heritage.Workwear, denim and sportswear from the brands that built the category. Levi's, Lee, Wrangler, Carhartt, Dickies, Big Mac, Big Smith, Red Kap, Sears Roebuck, Champion, Ralph Lauren, Double RL, RRL, Harley Davidson, vintage Wabash stripe, college and athletic wear, and military surplus.

Japanese denim and Urahara.The brands that studied American workwear and made it better. Evisu, Samurai Jeans, Iron Heart, Full Count, Momotaro Jeans, Warehouse & Co, UES, The Real McCoy's, Buzz Rickson's, Toys McCoy, Joe McCoy, Pherrows, Flat Head, Jelado, Vintage Works, Brown's Beach, Toyo Enterprise, Human Made, BAPE, Kapital, Visvim, Neighborhood, WTAPS. Selvedge denim, Japanese vintage workwear, and Urahara street — all sourced directly.

If a piece isn't genuinely interesting, it doesn't make the shop.

Every piece authenticated before it's listed

Fakes are a real problem, especially in Japanese heritage streetwear. Before anything goes live on our shop:

• Tags, stitching, hardware and fabric weight are cross checked against era specific references
• Wash tags, care labels and country of origin are verified against the brand's production timeline
• Anything we can't fully verify, we don't list

You're not buying from a bot flipping bale stock. You're buying from people who can tell you why a 90s Carhartt Detroit jacket fits differently to a 2010s one, and why that matters.

Why we built our own shop

Depop, Grailed and eBay are great for reach, but they take a cut on every sale, dictate how your shop looks, and bury your best pieces under sponsored listings.

This site exists so we can:

• Price fairly without baking in 10 to 15% platform fees
• Show pieces the way they deserve to be seen, with proper photos and real detail shots
• Build a direct relationship with people who care about the same clothes we do
• Drop new pieces on our schedule, not the algorithm's
